Machine Learning Department Wellness Network

Home > Wellness Network

The Machine Learning Department Wellness Network is a group of faculty, staff and students committed to promoting wellness in the department, especially among (but not limited to) graduate students and postdocs.

We maintain a calendar with office hours and small group activities. We've outlined what these entail below.

Office Hours

Faculty and staff Wellness Network members hold office hours, which are noted with an "OH" on the calendar. You can come to office hours to talk about concerns and/or seek advice on a wide variety of issues (including ones related to your program, career or even personal life) in a safe and confidential space. Also note that you can stop by with small concerns or even for a friendly chat!

Anyone is welcome during office hours and you don't need to give advance notice. Note that if you'd like to ensure privacy, it would be a good idea to email the faculty/staff member ahead of time and they can mark the time as "occupied" on the calendar.

Small Group Activities

Small group activities are generally hosted by student members of the Wellness Network and are featured on the calendar as events without an "OH" in the title. Join us for fun activities like walking, running, biking, yoga, climbing, movie nights, Pittsburgh tours, coffee meetups and more.

Feel free to email the group member whose name is associated with the event for more information. And click on the event in the calendar to see more details about where to meet, etc. Again, anyone is welcome to attend and you don't need to give advance notice.
